JAMMERS
Point scorers. Separated, behind the pack, at the start of the jam. Look for the stars on their helmets.
LEAD JAMMER
On the first lap, the jammer who makes it through the pack first and without penalties. The referee will hold up his arms in an L shape indicating the lead jammer. Lead can call off the jam at any time by tapping her hands to her hips.
PIVOTS
At the head of the pack, look for the stripe on the helmet. Pivots are blockers that set the pace of the pack. Pivots are the last line of defense.
BLOCKERS
A blocker's job is to help their jammer through the pack while keeping the opposing jammer from coming through.
